Children
Welcome to the Children’s Ministries at FIUMC. This is where children will dive into God’s word as they develop the skills to unlock the Bible’s message and explore the depths of God's love so that they may discover hope and deepen their faith so they will always know God loves them, period!.
FIUMC Kids Club serves as the guide to help children learn how to discover hope, deepen their faith, and demonstrate love to others as we deepen the children's faith formation.
Children's Ministries allows children to wonder, discover, and play as we have faith conversations, build relationships, listen to stories, and explore the Bible in many ways.
Missions
Here at FIUMC, we believe missions is about serving our community with our time, our talents, and our treasures. We support Bannerman Learning Center, Residing Hope (formerly the United Methodist Children's Home), Project GLOW (A ministry for children with Special Needs), and The Clothing Shed (Clothing drop-off for families who experience natural disasters. We look forward to you helping us providing God's love to the community.
Growth Groups
We’re here to help you connect with God and others. Some Growth Groups focus on learning, while others emphasize serving. By choosing to participate, you can build friendships, find support, and receive encouragement. We have a Men's Group, Women's Group, Youth Group, Boomer's Group, and Bible Study Group.
Congregational Care
Our Congregational Care ministries reach out in a personal way to walk alongside you during good times and bad alike – including health concerns, loss of employment, welcoming a child, loss of a loved one or other life changes. We strive to take the caring heart and hands of Jesus to our members and church friends.

Worship Service
Visit us on Sunday mornings at 9:30. Come early for coffee and conversation with our church family. We gather in "Grace Place" a WWII army chapel, which once sat on Camp Blanding JTC in central Clay County. You will be met with open arms, and warm hearts. We, as United Methodist welcome all who come. No matter what your religious background or lack of relationship to God, we always have a seat for you.
Our Pastor
Pastor Daniel Weikert accepted his appointment to FIUMC in July of 2026. Since his first sermon, Pastor Daniel has expressed his love for prayer, scripture and his church family. Not only does he bring his experience as a chaplain to the Hospice community and others in need, he shares his musical talents as well.
What We Believe
As United Methodists, we have an obligation to bear a faithful Christian witness to Jesus Christ, the living reality at the center of the Church’s life. To fulfill this obligation, we reflect critically on our biblical and theological inheritance, striving to express faithfully the witness we make in our own time.
Mission and Ministry
Why does the church exist? According to Matthew’s Gospel, the risen Christ made it clear: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you” (28:19-20).
Based on this “Great Commission,” our United Methodist Church has stated its purpose: “The mission of the Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Our church is here to help you as an individual with your decision. Whether days, weeks, months or years, we are prepared to take this journey with you.
